Casther acquainted since childhood, she took him to Briggs bc she believed in his values and needed trustworthy people within the forth, over the years they become great friends, Olivier gives him many freedoms and once he loses his arm also a lot support
Silas: values his judgement a lot

Thea: tries to create the best circumstances for her, teaches her to fight for a few years when Casther couldn't

More personal HCs incoming!We know that Olivier is the eldest child of the Armstrong family. I like to think that she's quite some years older than her siblings. I like to think that she had a good relationship with her father, while her mother was always cold and distanced since Olivier isn't the lady-like daughter she wanted. Wanting to proof herself while creating distance to her family, she joined the military.Her way to Briggs
At the academy she met Miles and they became rivals pretty quickly, something that would last for years. Eventually they got assigned to Briggs. It didn't take long for her to feel at home there, meeting Buccaneer and climbing the ranks quickly because of her skill. Briggs commanding officer saw her potential and supported her.When Briggs commanding officer came close to retirement, Olivier was one of the potential successor. To favor her promotion and ensure she has a base of people to trust, she recruited Val and Casther. After a series of events she finally got handed the command despite her relatively young age (28 years).
Trivia
• Her parents arranged an engagement with Val’s parents in her early teens. Olivier joined to the military to escape the forced marriage.
• Olivier is we aware of the romantic relationship between Casther and Val. When they're alone, she and Val even talk openly about it. Despite the military laws she silently allows it.
